Visual storytelling and creative production of Instagram images and Story from behind-the-scenes rehearsals for two productions at Resolutions Dance Festival 2017. ZERO by Humanhood:
double helix // From today's rehearsals with Rudi Cole and Julia Robert Pares of @humanhood_ dance for Resolutions 2017 - a month-long festival celebrating new and emerging contemporary dance in the UK. So much raw physicality in this extract from ZERO, performed tonight @theplacelondon. A beautiful synergy of careful light composition, rhythmic sound and thoughtful choreography: hypnotic and excitingly fresh. Can't wait to see more from these two #res17 #humanhood
Visual storytelling and creative production of Instagram images, interview and Instagram Story, created from behind-the-scenes rehearsals of Not Hard by Stephen Quildan for Resolutions Dance Festival 2017.
"I'm interested in vast space, vast sound and openness," says Stephen Quildan (@stephenthequil_) , the 23-Year-old London dancer/choreographer whose piece, Not Hard, premieres tomorrow night at Resolution Dance Festival 2017. Taking inspiration from grime music and his upbringing in London, Quildan plays with the role of gender in performance in his first ensemble production, with three female dancers from his home company @rambertdance. "I'm coming from a very male perspective and putting that on women with no filter," he explains. "I'm exploring how the connect with it differently, and how fragile it can become." 1/3 #res17
POW 💥🗣 // choreographer Stephen Quildan (@stephenthequil_) says a sense of expanding and explosiveness form part of his movement vocabulary.
